Insomniac Games weiterhin PS3/PSP exklusiv

Während viele Entwickler direkt von den Branchenriesen wie Microsoft, Sony, EA oder anderen Firmen aufgekauft werden, wollte Insomniac Games weiterhin unabhängig bleiben, was im Umkehrschluss wieder heißt, dass sie sich theoretisch aussuchen können, für welche Plattformen sie entwickeln. Und auf Nachfrage ob man denn vielleicht nun, nach den eher nüchternen Verkaufszahlen von Resistance 2, nicht auf eine Multiplattformstrategie umsteigen würde, sagte Ryan Schneider, Director of Marketing and Communications, dass man weiterhin exklusiv für Sony arbeiten würde. Es besteht nun schon eine lange Beziehung zwischen ihnen und man möchte diese auch in Zukunft aufrechterhalten. Man begründet dies damit, dass Sony sich sehr gut um die Entwicklungsstudios kümmert und die PR Abteilung wirklich gute Arbeit abliefert.

“We’ve been with Sony for a long, long time now, and that’s where we intend to stay for the foreseeable future.”
