SCi Games: PlayStation 3 + Line-Up 2005

Der britische Spieleentwickler SCi Games hat in seinem gerade veröffentlichten Finanzbericht, nicht nur das Line-Up für 2005/2006 bestätigt, sondern auch eingeräumt, dass man darüber nachdenkt die PlayStation 3 zu unterstützen. Bevor man jedoch erste Projekte ankündigt, möchte man abwarten, wie sich die Userzahlen der Next Generation entwickeln.

\"From the summer of 2005 the majority of our products will be compatible with Xbox live and PS2 on-line. As we plan our longer term product pipeline we will assess the right time to make development commitments on next generation platforms such as Sony Playstation 3 and the successor to the Microsoft Xbox. Our policy is to seek to release products on new platforms once the platform has established an installed base that is commercially attractive, thus maximizing the potential return on investment.\"

Line-Up für 2005/2006 (ab Sommer 2005 soll die Mehrzahl der Spiele auf PS2 den Netzwerkadapter unterstützen)

Es fällt auf, dass der vom mittlerweile Pleite gegangenen britischen Entwickler Argonaut programmierte Titel \"Roll Call\" nicht mehr im aktuellen Line-Up auftaucht. Damit kann man wohl mit Sicherheit davon ausgehen, dass das Spiel nicht mehr erscheinen wird. Bei \"Overdose\" handelt es sich um ein neues (bislang geheimes) Actionspiel von einem skandinavischen Entwickler.
