Nach Mark Rein von Epic Games bietet die NGP als erste Handheldkonsole wirklich fesselnde Erfahrung, wie man sie von stationären Konsolen her kennt. Dazu bräuchte man aber auch Dualshock-ähnliche Controller, die die NGP dank der zwei Analogsticks glücklicherweise bietet. Er wird sich auch eine Konsole kaufen und kann Spekulationen nicht verstehen, in denen die NGP bereits als Totgeburt abgetitelt wird. Laut ihm wird es Spiele wie Call of Duty geben, die die Verkäufe ankurbeln werden und außerdem habe man vom iPad das selbe gesagt und heutzutage sei es nicht mehr wegzudenken.
